Zach Cattell

Zach Cattell is the President & CEO of CarDon & Associates, a second-generation, family-owned company operating 20 senior living communities and affiliated healthcare services throughout Indiana. With a background in healthcare law and public policy, Zach brings more than two decades of leadership experience in long-term care, regulatory strategy, and value-based healthcare innovation.

Zach joined CarDon in 2022 as Chief Strategy & Legal Officer, where he led enterprise-wide legal, compliance, and strategic initiatives, including the company’s entry into managed care and expanded post-acute partnerships. Prior to CarDon, he served as President of the Indiana Health Care Association, representing the state’s long-term care profession and shaping Medicaid and Medicare policy at both the state and federal levels. He also held senior roles in government affairs for physician organizations and practiced health law in both private and nonprofit sectors.

Passionate about improving care for seniors and strengthening the healthcare continuum, Zach believes in equipping frontline caregivers with the tools, clarity, and support they need to succeed. “Senior living is not just healthcare — it’s human care,” he says. “We have a responsibility to walk with people and their families through some of life’s most vulnerable moments.”

Zach earned his J.D. from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and holds a B.A. in Political Science from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.

Outside of work, Zach enjoys golf, mountain biking, card playing, puzzle solving, and traveling with his family. He and his wife Rebecca live in Indianapolis with their three sons, who keep life full of energy, purpose, and humility.
