CarDon & Associates is pleased to announce the hiring of Andrew Buzzard as the new Administrator of Arbor Trace in Richmond Indiana. Andrew comes to the CarDon family with over 10 years of experience in the healthcare field. Andrew, a lifelong resident of Indiana, and his wife Angie have been married for 8 years and have three children ages 7, 5, and 7 months. Andrew grew up on a farm in Warren, Indiana and attended Ball State University with an eye on a nursing degree. “My mom is a nurse, my aunt is a nurse, and my wife’s a nurse,” Andrew stated.
He finished his degree in Exercise Science and while working on a graduate degree in Biomechanics, Andrew took a class in Gerontology. “That’s when I fell in love with the idea of working with the elder community,” he said. “My business is to serve, I love to serve, and it is a privilege to serve older adults.”
Andrew is a hands-on administrator. “How do you know how to manage unless you’re out of your office?” he asked. “I will know everyone’s name; I firmly believe if you take care of the residents everything else will take care of itself. Good open communication, an excellent support system, and the focus of CarDon on the wellbeing and happiness of our residents were deciding factors in taking this new position.”
Arbor Trace is hosting an open house to introduce Andrew on Thursday, January 23rd from 4pm to 6pm. “We have an amazing community with 38 acres of green space; it is beautiful,” Andrew said.
