CarDon & Associates announces groundbreaking for Aspen Trace, a new senior living campus in Bargersville, IN

Bargersville, IN (April, 2013) – CarDon & Associates, Inc., the Bloomington, IN-based provider of senior housing, rehabilitation and long term care services, is pleased to announce the development of Aspen Trace in Bargersville, Indiana.

Aspen Trace, CarDon’s newest development project, will be located on a 46-acre parcel on the west side of State Road 135 just south of Stones Crossing Road.  The project will offer a unique design planned to meet the changing lifestyle demands and trends in senior living, including assisted living, rehabilitation, long term care and dementia care.

The company, which closed on the property last fall, will build the campus in several phases.  The first phase of construction will consist of 104 skilled nursing beds and 36 assisted living apartments.  Future phases will include Independent Living apartments and garden homes.

“Our company has a long-standing tradition of providing Indiana seniors with quality care and services,” said Stephen Moore, M.D., CEO of CarDon & Associates, Inc. “The development of Aspen Trace represents our company’s commitment not only to Indiana’s seniors, but specifically to the Bargersville area and surrounding communities.  At full occupancy, Phase 1 of Aspen Trace will provide for the addition of 115 new jobs to the area.  It will give seniors and their family’s access to a high quality senior living community that does not exist today in this area.”

“Construction will take approximately 12 months to complete and will feature private suites along with state-of- the-art physical, speech, and occupational therapy facilities,” according to Scott Rigney, Chief Development Officer for CarDon & Associates. “The new design will provide a home like atmosphere, and will showcase outstanding amenities including dining venues, theater, and activities spaces, as well as a beauty/barber shop and a library.”

CarDon & Associates, Inc. has a 35 year history of developing and managing senior living communities throughout Indiana.  The company currently operates and manages seventeen communities on fourteen campuses that offer skilled nursing and rehabilitation services, long term care, memory care, assisted living, senior housing apartments and garden homes.
