CarDon & Associates, Inc., the Bloomington, Ind.-based provider of senior housing, rehabilitation and long term care services, proudly announces the addition of Hoosier Health & Living — previously named Hoosier Christian Village — to its family of senior living communities throughout the Midwest.
Located just minutes from Hoosier National Forest at 621 S. Sugar St., Hoosier Health & Living serves Brownstown and surrounding areas. Built on faith-led traditions and values, the community offers services that include independent living, short term rehabilitation, long term care, and memory support.
The campus includes 13 independent living garden homes across six buildings, with a variety of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom options. The community also accommodates 97 residents in need of short term rehabilitation, long term care and memory support.
Ownership of Hoosier Health & Living transitioned from Christian Horizons to CarDon on February 20, 2025.
“Hoosier Health & Living already has a long history of high-quality, compassionate service to seniors and their families,” said Kent Rodgers, President and CEO of CarDon & Associates. “We look forward to building upon that history and expanding our CarDon family. We’re proud to welcome the Hoosier Christian Village staff into our team and excited to introduce resources that will enhance what this community already provides for residents, families and staff members.”
In addition to therapy and pharmacy services under its LifeSpan partner umbrella, CarDon will incorporate its connections with Southern Indiana hospitals and insurance companies. The team will also implement technological updates allowing for real-time, regular communication between residents, families and staff.
With neighboring CarDon communities in Bloomington, Nashville, New Albany and Paoli, Hoosier Health & Living fits the organization’s footprint across Indiana. CarDon will invest in facility improvements while honoring the faith-driven services and programming long valued in the community.
