After exploring several options, Dr. Randy Schroeder’s wife chose Rawlins House for his rehabilitation.
Dr. Schroeder later called the community “a gift from God,” praising the amazing staff across all departments.
Randy arrived after battling bacterial meningitis, which left him extremely weak. Initially, he needed maximum assistance for basic movements and daily tasks. But with his determination and the dedicated team of therapists at Rawlins House, he pushed through every challenge. He even practiced exercises on his own between sessions, always striving to regain his independence.
Thanks to his hard work and expert care, Randy can now walk up to 200 feet with supervision, climb stairs with minimal help, and manage daily activities on his own. Although the Rawlins House staff is sad to see him leave, they’re thrilled to see him return home, reaching this incredible milestone!
Randy’s journey is why we do what we do — it has been an honor to support him and his family on the path to recovery.
In addition to his success in rehab, Dr. Randy Schroeder is an accomplished author. His award-winning books, Simple Habits for Marital Happiness and Simple Habits for Effective Parenting, offer practical guidance for couples and parents. Find them at CrossLink Publishing, Barnes & Noble and Amazon.
