WRTV’s Meredith Hackler recently highlighted “The Neighborhood,” a unique concept at CarDon’s Altenheim senior living community focused on memory care for assisted living residents. The Neighborhood is a place for residents, called “neighbors,” who are in early or mid-stages of dementia and can participate in their own daily care but require some level of structure and oversight to help maintain their independence.
