CarDon & Associates is proud to announce its inclusion in U.S. News & World Report’s annual ranking of the best senior care communities in the country.
For its 2023-2024 rankings, U.S. News evaluated more than 15,000 communities throughout the nation. Of the 521 in Indiana, 24 received an overall rating of 5 out of 5 or “high performing.” Three are CarDon communities — Bell Trace Health and Living in Bloomington, Brookside Village in Jasper and Hamilton Trace in Fishers.
Since the inaugural rankings in 2009, U.S. News has relied on data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency in charge of setting and enforcing standards for care communities.
To be recognized as one of the best, a community must receive a rating of “high performing” in short-term rehabilitation, long-term care or both. Using scientific literature, discussions with industry experts and statistical modeling, U.S. News assesses quality measures of staffing, medical outcomes, resident feedback and processes of care to determine community ratings of high performing, average or below average.
CarDon & Associates is thrilled to have communities that live up to these carefully considered standards.
“This validation means a lot to us, as it shows the value of our efforts and helps further our overarching mission of serving seniors and their families,” said CarDon President and CEO Kent Rodgers. “Now, when people are searching for the best senior living options, our company name shows up at the top of the list. We look forward to more people calling our communities home.”
