CarDon & Associates, Inc., announces the expansion of the memory support unit at Rawlins House, located at 300 JH Walker Drive in Pendleton.
The community’s Cherished Memories unit has been expanded from 17 beds to 30 beds, with a spacious dining and activities area as well as the addition of a lounge for residents and their families and friends.
The Cherished Memories program is carefully designed for each resident’s unique needs. The customized approach focuses on individuality, promotes choice, encourages participation in favorite activities and celebrates accomplishments.
“There was a growing need for memory care in the Pendleton area, and we wanted to support that need by adding more space, more beds and an overall enhanced care area,” said Jen Barnhart, CarDon regional director of marketing.
“The Cherished Memories program is a significant benefit to the Pendleton and Anderson areas,” said Rawlins House Administrator Chad Covey. “We focus on creating a homelike environment with specialized activities for those with memory loss. With room for up to 30 residents, and being both Medicare- and Medicaid-approved, we are ready to serve the needs of Madison County.”
Safety, stability and comfort in the memory care living environment are critical to providing quality care. Activity areas and a family-style dining room are decorated in soothing colors and filled with soft, familiar music. An enclosed, secure courtyard ensures residents can enjoy the outdoors in a safe, yet stimulating environment that optimizes independence and well-being.
